Bradford, ON F0 Tornado of August 4, 1981

Dufferin - Innisfil

This weak tornado was confirmed by photographic evidence from a resident of Bradford who saw the vortex touch down in a nearby field on the north side of town. The tornado appeared as a mostly transparent whirlwind with dust and light debris swirling near the ground. It skipped along through the area causing slight damage, ripping shingles and siding off homes, felling trees and TV aerials, and moved some farm wagons. It also cut through a field of grain where a convergent pattern of flattened cereal crop was found.
