Braeside, ON F0 Tornado of

Renfrew - Pembroke - Barry's Bay


This tornado touched down near Braeside, northwest of Ottawa in Eastern Ontario. It occurred at around 4:15 pm and knocked down trees.

Figure 1 depicts the surface observations at 2:00 pm EDT, which shows a cold front swinging through southern Ontario. This front was the focus for thunderstorm development in the afternoon, which led to this F0 tornado.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F0 tornado touched down at 4:15 pm EDT near Braeside, ON. The track and width of the tornado was not documented by ECCC. The tornado caused no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
