Carleton Place, ON EF0 Tornado of August 1, 2013

For the second time in a matter of days, an EF0 tornado touched down in the National Capital Region; this one struck near Carleton Place, about 45 km southwest of Ottawa. In a relatively unusual occurrence, the tornado touched down in the morning at around 9:00 am. Witnesses spotted the tornado churning in a field near Highway 7, missing trees and buildings and causing no known damage.
