The Etobicoke-Humber Summit Tornado

Small tornado damages roofs and downs trees near Toronto Airport

This weak tornado was the fifth to touch down on May 2, and the first of three to touch down around 3:30pm in north Toronto. It began in an industrial park just east of the Toronto Airport and tore part of the roofs off two commercial buildings. It likely skipped along for about 6km to the northeast where tree damage was found. Lasting only a few minutes, it lifted off near the intersection of Finch Avenue West and Islington Avenue.
