Figure 1 shows the surface observations at 4:00 pm CDT, which shows an occluding low pressure on the Alberta/Saskatchewan border with a cold front extending south across Saskatchewan and North Dakota and a warm front extending east across southern Manitoba. The warm front became the focus for thunderstorm activity across central Manitoba, which ultimately led to a few tornadoes.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F0 tornado touched down at 8:45 pm CDT near Gladstone, MB. The path and width of the tornado was not documented by ECCC. The tornado caused no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
