Whitemouth, MB F0 Tornado of July 25, 1997

Whiteshell - Lac du Bonnet - Pinawa


Figure 1 shows the surface observations at 1:00 pm CDT, which shows a low pressure system in southern Saskatchewan with a cold front extending east across southern Manitoba. The cold front became the focus for thunderstorm activity in the early afternoon hours of July 25th, which ultimately led to this tornado.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F0 tornado touched down at 1:45 pm CDT near Whitemouth, MB. The path and width of the tornado was not documented by ECCC. The tornado caused no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
