Figure 1 depicts the surface observations at 8:00 am, which shows an area of low pressure across Saskatchewan, which likely played a role in the development of this tornado. The tornado was given an “FU” rating, meaning unknown rating.

According to Environment Canada, “multiple tornadoes hit Southern Manitoba – June 22, 1922. Hot and humid air led to the development of several tornadoes in the area. Five deaths and hundreds of injuries were attributed to the event which caused $2 million in 1922 dollars”.
