Tofield, AB F1 Tornado of June 5, 1988

Leduc - Camrose - Wetaskiwin - Tofield


Figure 1 depicts the surface observations at 3:00 am MDT, which shows a low pressure system on the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.

Eight tornadoes occurred on this day, the other tornadoes were:

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F1 tornado touched down at 4:00 am MDT near Tofield, AB. The path of the tornado was not documented by ECCC, but its maximum width was 90 metres.
