Maple, ON F0 Tornado of July 19, 1981

York - Durham


This tornado tracked just over 5km through the suburb of Maple, where roofs of barns and homes were either removed or badly damaged, and trees were uprooted. It was produced by a violent thunderstorm which tracked southeast from Georgian Bay on the afternoon of July 19th. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), this tornado tracked for 5.13 km, caused no injuries, casualties or property damage.
