This tornado caused damage at two farms, where roofs were torn from barns, trees were snapped and uprooted and a trailer was thrown over 150m. Witnesses observed a funnel cloud with a cloud of debris swirling at its base.
Figure 1 depicts the surface observations at 2:00 pm, which shows a cold front slicing through central Ontario/Quebec, which ultimately led to thunderstorms in eastern Ontario, which led to this F1 tornado.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F1 tornado touched down at 4:30 pm EDT near St. Albert, ON. The path and width of the tornado was not documented by ECCC. The tornado caused no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
