Trees were downed along a narrow path that was 19 kilometres long and less than 100 metres wide. The touchdown of this probable tornado occurred at about 5:15 pm.
Figure 1 depicts the surface observations at 5:00 pm EDT, which shows a cold front slicing through southern Ontario. This cold front became the focus for intense thunderstorms through the afternoon hours of June 8th, which ultimately led to this long-track F0 tornado.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F0 tornado touched down at 5:15 pm near Schutt, ON. The tornado travelled for 19 km with a maximum width of 100 metres. The tornado caused no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
