The tornado touched down at 3:45 am and caused extensive damage to a farm. One well-built barn was totally levelled, a hay elevator was thrown hundreds of metres across the property, trees were snapped and uprooted. Debris was sent wrapping around around trees and piercing the ground.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F1 tornado touched down at 3:45 am near Madoc, ON. The tornado travelled for 1.3 km, but its width was not documented by ECCC. The tornado caused no fatalities or injuries, but caused $280 thousand dollars in property damage.
