The Fitchburg, MA F1 tornado of June 1, 1956 impacted Worcester County in Massachusetts. According to NOAA (2019), the F1 tornado caused no fatalities, but injured 14 people and caused $25 thousand dollars in property damage. The tornado touched down in Worcester County west of Ashby State Road at 5:40 pm EDT. The path of the tornado was not documented by the Weather Bureau, but it had a maximum width of 33 yards.
