Notch Reservoir Watershed, MA F2 Tornado of March 1, 1966

Figure 1 depicts the surface observations at 2:00 am EDT, which shows a large area of low pressure ejecting over eastern Canada. Little is known about this tornado.

The Notch Reservoir Watershed, MA F2 tornado of March 2, 1966 impacted Berkshire County in Massachusetts. According to NOAA (2019), the F2 tornado caused no fatalities or injuries, but caused $25 thousand dollars in property damage. The tornado touched down in Berkshire County at 12:30 am EDT. The path of the tornado was not documented by NOAA, but it had a maximum width of 33 yards.
