Storms developed by late afternoon along a Dryline from Hutchinson, Kansas to Cherokee, Oklahoma. Due to a capping inversion, storms struggled to strengthen beyond small hail, winds to 60 mph and heavy rains.
While not an overly impressive severe setup for the Central Plains, beneficial precipitation fell, which will aid in more robust storms in the upcoming weeks.
