It was expected to be a bit of a sloppy storm mode on April 1, 2024 – and that is exactly what we had.
Storms fired along multiple boundaries earlier in the day, with a round of some severe hail as storms moved quickly northeast across Central Oklahoma and Southeast Kansas.

The second round of storms developed closer to the 6 pm time frame – with a Moderate Risk (hail induced) overhead. Target area for my group: Perry, Oklahoma.

While storms were messy at best – we did get a quick glimpse of mid-level rotation in our tornado-warned storm near Stillwater, Oklahoma. Overall – it wasn’t a great chase day, but it was fun to get out and see what Mother Nature would bring!
