EF1 Michigan tornado crosses international border & topples Amherstburg sign
This tornado formed in Michigan and caused EF1 damage in the town of Gibralter, then moved over the Detroit River and crossed the international border. At Amherstburg, the town’s large brick welcome sign was toppled and large tree branches torn down. This damage in Ontario was determined to be EF0.
