Cone funnel caught on camera as probable EF0 tornado hits northeast of Cochrane
This probable EF0 tornado occurred approximately 55km northeast of Cochrane in far Northeastern Ontario; due to the remoteness of the region, documented tornadoes here are extremely rare.
Witnesses at the Air Cochrane Fly-in Outpost Camp photographed a slender cone funnel cloud reaching toward the ground. Were it not for trees on the horizon obscuring its base, it is likely that this probable tornado would have been classified as confirmed. The witnesses reported that the tornado was on the ground for ten minutes, though no known damage occurred.
