Tornado strikes, leaves extensive damage at mobile home park, houses destroyed
Striking at 9:30pm, this 90m-wide tornado travelled for 15km, levelling swaths of forest and causing extensive damage at a mobile home park. The tornado was originally rated at F2, but was subsequently downgraded to F1 when it was learned that the ‘destroyed houses’ were trailer homes and not wood-frame houses. A witness captured photos of the tornado that showed a large cloud of debris.
