Tornado tracks almost 40km through farms & forest, cuts extensive path of damage


This was the final tornado of the June 16 event and it was another damaging one. It touched down at 4:55pm and had a path that was 30-40km long and up to 500m wide. It travelled from Elphin to Drummond Centre in Eastern Ontario, taking down swaths of forest and severely damaging barns and houses.

The other tornadoes that struck South Central and Eastern Ontario on this day were a destructive long-track F2 that hit near Haliburton, and an F1 at Curries.
