Greening Bay, ON (DONE)


Tornado comes ashore off Lake Nippissing, damages trees, cottages & properties


Witnesses described watching the tornado, a cone funnel with a plume of spray at its base, come onshore from Greening Bay at the east end of Lake Nipissing. It had a path that was 2 kilometres long and 500 metres wide, along which trees were downed, a shed was thrown and minor siding damage was done to cottages, one of which had impact damage when it was struck by flying lawn chairs. The tornado occurred at 7:30 pm and was accompanied by hail as big as golf balls.
