The Cobden Tornado (DONE)

Tornado tears roof off barn near Cobden, large black funnel cloud seen

This ominous looking tornado first appeared as a cloud of smoke swirling in a farm field about 7km north of Cobden. It was witnessed by a local man who was sitting in his truck on a neighboring farm in the Zion Line area. Another farmer nearby saw the tornado go through his farm property as a large black cloud which ripped the large piece of the roof off one his bars, depositing it on a nearby wagon. A few trees were uprooted throughout the farm as well. The tornado was seen traveling towards Forester’s Falls where it was described as exploding. It is believed the tornado dissipated at or near the Ottawa river after uprooting trees at a whitewater rafting company after tracking for about 12km.
