The Damaging Tornado in Mississauga (DONE)

Tornado touches down in Mississauga, damages mobile homes and property

This tornado occurred around 2:00pm on June 22 as a supercell approached Lake Ontario from the west-northwest. There were second-hand reports of funnel clouds in the area at the time, but no detailed description of this tornado. Touching down west of the intersection of Dundas Street and Hurontario, it tracked east-southeast for 2-3km uprooting trees and causing minor damage to a few homes and businesses. One mobile home in its path had a porch removed, others had considerable amounts of superficial damage. As it passed, witnesses recalled hearing a sound like a locomotive.
