2022 – Don’t Go Breaking My Heart

Published on

After COVID lockdowns, flat weather and work up to my earballs; I’m about ready for a good chase year. I have not been active at all within chase spaces as a form of self-care, in understanding it has been incredibly difficult to travel, if not impossible.

However, I am triple vaxxed and ready to kick some convective ass this year. I can feel it. With the snowfall we’ve had over this last, never-ending winter has to be the end of our weather woes. I’m so anxious to get back out on the road, to get back to being under a mesocyclone. To get back to watching mother nature unleash herself on the land.

With travel opening, with COVID becoming endemic through vaccination and herd immunity; I am, for the first time in 2 years incredibly hopeful, excited and optimistic for what the skies have for us this year.

There really is no point to this post, other than to celebrate feeling like storms are on my radar again. To share some optimism and to hopefully hype you, the reader up as well.

To get this rig rolling, lets relive one of the most beautiful storms I have been witness to. The EF-3 in Scarth,Manitoba Aug 7th ,2020.

Heres to chasing, to storms and to all the (mis)adventures between.

Happy chasing, folks.
