Exeter, ON F1 Tornado of June 22, 1982

This moderate tornado was observed by residents of Crediton, southwest of Exeter, who saw a funnel cloud and heard a distinct rumbling, roaring noise. The tornado touched down just before 7:00 pm and was seen tracking to the east-northeast through Stephen Township. Along it’s 8 km path, it unroofed and severely damaged a barn and blew away the back end of a farmhouse, which was used as a kitchen. Many trees were uprooted and broken as well.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), and F1 tornado developed west of Exeter, ON at 6:50 pm EDT and traveled east for 8 km. The tornado caused no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
