McGregor, ON F0 Tornado of September 6, 1990

Windsor - Essex - Chatham-Kent


This tornado was reported by a CANWARN spotter who observed it touch down at 5:45 pm. Trees were damaged and the siding was torn off of a house. Figure 1 depicts a trough of low pressure extending into far southwestern Ontario at 5:00 pm EDT, which likely contributed to initiating storms and ultimately this F0 tornado.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F0 tornado touched down at 5:45 pm EDT near McGregor, ON. The track and width of the tornado was not documented by ECCC. The tornado caused no injuries, fatalities or property damage.
