Mississauga, ON F0 Tornado of June 16, 1982

This tornado occurred around 2:00 pm on June 16th as a supercell approached Lake Ontario from the west-northwest. There were second-hand reports of funnel clouds in the area at the time, but no detailed description of this tornado. Touching down west of the intersection of Dundas Street and Hurontario, it tracked east-southeast for 2-3 km uprooting trees and causing minor damage to a few homes and businesses. One mobile home in its path had a porch removed, others had considerable amounts of superficial damage. As it passed, witnesses recalled hearing a sound like a locomotive.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (2018), an F0 occurred in Mississauga, ON at 2:00 pm EDT and traveled southeast for 2.23 km. The tornado caused no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
