Large hail in Central Kansas — Bryce Kintigh

We started this chase day near Greensburg, Kansas. Large hail was evident, but some of the hail we found near Larned, Kansas was larger than we expected!

Nearly tennis ball sized hail was prevalently found just south of Larned, Kansas.

Once the storms settled down, Mother Nature showed a nice sunset as we traveled back to Wichita.

Bryce Kintigh

Bryce has been chasing storms since 2003. Growing up on a farm in North Central Kansas, weather has always played a big role in his life. In 2018, Bryce finished his Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. His favorite weather memory would have to be seeing a large wedge tornado with a satellite tornado in 2007. When Bryce isn’t on the road chasing storms, he enjoys spending time with friends, cheering on the Kansas State Wildcats, and traveling. He hopes to visit every National Weather Service radar site in the nation, visiting over 135 thus far. Bryce is often heard on KAKE-TV, tracking storms all across Kansas and the Midwest.
