Why do we chase?

Some would say, “You chase storms? You are crazy!” There is no denying the underlying truth to that statement.

But, it isn’t all about chasing the elusive tornado. There is a lot more to our madness than meets the eye. In fact, one could argue that storms are exciting to document, regardless of a tornado.

Being able to make a forecast, with or without the prediction of tornadic development, and having a forecast verify or bust, can be exhilarating or depressing. But, it’s why we continue doing what we do.

We chase storms, period. We find the best scenes to photograph and share with the world. It’s what we enjoy, and it’s what we will continue to do.
