2021-07-11 Chasing with the Tornado Hunters

Spent a great day chasing with some old friends and met a new one as well. In typical chaser fashion we ended up driving in almost a complete circle around Regina! As the day progressed I kept on checking the H&H app and noticed that H3licity was always near by. Jordan and I finally caught up to each other just before dark, South of Fort Qu’Appelle just as the shelf cloud passed at warp speed! I unfortunately didn’t get any shots worth sharing but if you head to Jordan’s post “Sunburns and Shelf Clouds” he has a couple of cell phone shots of the cloud as it sped by.

On the way home I started to get excited. The lightning was absolutely crazy, however it was also raining so hard that I couldn’t see the highway and kept hydroplaning, so no pictures.
